Sr Instructional Designer

Job Summary: Instructional DesignerIn this role, you will assess, design, develop, implement, and evaluate engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and knowledge transfer.

This includes, but is not limited to: on-demand eLearning modules, videos, infographics, instructor-led course materials (in-person and virtual), job aids, and other instructional materials.

You will build workplace capability and manage learning project timelines for on-time delivery and work with subject matter experts to identify learning and performance needs.Duties / Responsibilities:* Consult with business leaders, learning partners, and subject matter experts to understand business needs and learning opportunities.* Incorporate multiple formats, including eLearning, and classroom or virtual instructor-led material* Design support materials, such as job aids, storyboards for micro-learning videos, and other materials.* Develop facilitator guides, participant guides, Power Point decks and other materials.* Design and implement the overall evaluation strategy for each offering, including learning impacts.* Facilitate on occasion in either a physical classroom or virtual setting.* Develop learning programs that support Employee Branding, Corporate University, and HR Programs such as Performance Management, Succession Planning and Individual Development.* Assess training needs and root-cause in order to develop learning solutions.* Use advanced technical skills related to learning management systems, multimedia design, assessment systems, communication tools, streaming media platforms, and multimedia creative applications to meet unique and often “new” requirements related to online course design and development.* Enhance the learning environment and improve learning curriculum for all roles within our organization* Design instruction that reflects an understanding of the diversity of learners and groups of learners* Efficiently gather information by observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources* Perform in-depth scoping, needs analysis, and task analysis for moderate to complex instructional design projects with defined timelines and deliverables.* Identify and resolve complex project issues (i.e.

relationship issues with SME, changing business needs, content changes, and resource availability).Skills / Experience* Modern academic understanding of adult learning.* Strong capability of designing soft-skill, management, and leadership development learning, while also able to develop technical learning.* Expert level proficiency with Articulate Storyline 360, Camtasia, Captivate, and Microsoft Office products* Proficient in Adobe design applications such as Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.* Experience working with Learning Management Systems and staying up to date with new and innovative learning technology.* Excellent knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM, etc.).* Exceptional professional written and oral communication skills.* Lesson and curriculum planning* Proficient at creating engaging learning experiences* Demonstrate proficiency in using project management* Experience in designing for gamification, simulations, animation, virtual-reality, and mobile or any combination* Experience in machine learning and AI.* Experience integrating social media applications for educational purposes.* Experience coordinating a project development team and providing appropriate levels of support, coaching and influencing the design and development team.* Facilitation or classroom instructional experience* Knowledge of learning assessment and evaluation methods* Strong project management and change management skills in order to develop supporting tools in conjunction with major company strategic initiatives.Requirements* BA in instructional design, adult learning or human performance and behavioral science.* Experience in the development and implementing applications for a broad array of delivery methods (ILT, VILT, blended eLearning, simulations, and mobile).* Minimum 5
– 7 years of experience with Instructional Design* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handling challenging situations* Ability to pivot priorities based on changing business needs* Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to explain complex information* Expert level proficiency with Articulate Storyline 360, Camtasia, Captivate, In-Design, Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe suite products, Acrobat.* Experience creating storyboards, narration scripts, and eLearning content outlines.* Photoshop experience required.

Illustrator experience desired.* Excellent knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM, etc.).* Exceptional professional written and oral communication skills.* Knowledge of best learning experience platforms and content management systems.* Knowledge of learning assessment and evaluation methods
