Roles and Responsibility (list in order of importance)
- Lead design efforts across multiple engagements and be the design partner for assigned product verticals: Journals and Intercompany Hub
- Identify and present short- and long-term improvement opportunities to cross-functional teams and leadership
- Set up and own UX metrics
- Evangelize design thinking and lean UX
- Facilitate internal and external workshops for learning and alignment
- Run quantitative and qualitative research activities
- Collaborate and align with product management and engineering teams
- Deliver hands-on design execution from conceptualization to the final product, including CJM, sketches, user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes
- Contribute to scope, estimate and plan design efforts
- Emphasize and advocate users
- Support BlackLine Design System and best practices and work with other designers as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Years of Experience in Related Field: 5 7 years as an interaction, user experience, or product designer
Education:
- Bachelor s degree in Interaction Design, Graphic Design, HCI, or other related discipline or equivalent experience
Design/Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Competent in general user research, user needs evaluation, metrics and measurements, IA, interaction design, prototyping, visual design, stakeholder management, design strategy and planning, and workshop facilitation
- Expert knowledge of responsive design
- Expert knowledge in Figma
- Experience in design processes, methodology, and lean UX
- Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills to articulate concepts, feedback and rationale and promote design led initiatives
- Ability to influence and persuade around design concepts
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional team members beyond product and engineering
- Kind, positive, easy to with team player with strong work ethics
- Strong design portfolio to demonstrate above qualifications to be considered
- Formal portfolio presentation is required during interview
