About the Role
An award-winning, interdisciplinary firm is looking for an innovative Senior Designer to work on fresh, fun workplaces and retail projects. Under the supervision of the Design Director and Studio lead, a Senior Designer will get lots of hands-on experience walking multiple projects through a full lifecycle from conception to completion. This studio believes in taking creative risks and pushing boundaries. They currently work on a hybrid schedule with 2-3 days a week in the office and the rest working from home. Key Responsibilities
-Mentoring teams by leading projects from conception to completion
– Someone who can both design conceptually and detail thoroughly, with an ability to zoom in and out along the project timeline from the macro to the micro and back again
-Manage multiple projects at different stages of development
-Review project Budgets
-Liaise with clients
-Draft and review younger designers detailing
-Create and maintain great relationships with vendors and consultants
Skills and Experience
-Bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture or Interior Design, master’s degree preferred
-8+ years of experience working in the Design/Architecture industry
-Expertise with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite
-Working knowledge of building codes
-Proficiency with jurisdictional agencies and multi-disciplinary consultants
-Familiarity with commercial projects, including ground-up construction, core and shell repositioning, and creative workplace
-State licensure or pursuance of state licensure is encouraged
-Must have strong graphic, organizational, and communication skills
-A real leader who doesn’t let their own agenda and personality get in the way of their team completing the project to the best of their ability
