Senior Creative Strategist, Performance Marketing

First Medias Direct Response team is a performance-first marketing division at a fast-paced video production and publishing company. We uniquely service our clients with a full-stack agency partnership where we ideate, shoot, and iterate on concepts daily completely in house to capture the best results for our clients to grow and scale their DTC businesses. Were looking for a Senior Creative Strategist to join our Los Angeles team (remote OK!). The ideal candidate is fueled by a passionate sense of curiosity for ‘why’ video advertisements work & how social media trends go viral! Best candidates have a mixed background in writing, producing, data analysis, production and business or sales.

Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis: Decode Facebook Ads Manager data and apply what the metrics are saying to optimize creatives to win. This might be changing on-ramps, visuals, narratives or using a new user voice to target different personas.
  • Write: Read social media comments at scale to empathize with our viewers and write scripts that can speak to new audiences and convert them to customers for our partners.
  • Creative Storytelling: Ideate, script and produce up to 10 new video concepts each week while guiding junior strategists on their own book of business.
  • Project management: Work across accounts with the VP of Creative, Creative Director, team of directors, editors and producers.
  • Win: Drive results that increase clients marketing budgets quarter over quarter.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of writing experience
  • 2+ years experience using Facebook Ads Manager
  • A portfolio of digital content you have helped create (or created yourself), and the ability to talk about the strategy that informed each piece in the portfolio
  • 3+ years of experience in storytelling
  • Combination of excellent conceptual and copywriting skills
  • Able to combine streamlined copywriting and visual narratives into one medium
  • Direct Response work examples
  • Facebook and Instagram product knowledge required, TikTok a big plus
  • Ability to bring ideas to life on a white board, big stage presentation, or finished content
