What we are looking for:
MasterClass is looking for a temporary Motion Designer to join their Content team.
This position will be a part of creating and reformatting the motion graphics deliverables of a large multi-language video asset translation project.
This person in this position will need to be comfortable working in various design styles and aesthetics, and have a cohesive understanding of animation and how static design will translate into an animated piece.
Skills and Responsibilities
- Expert in After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator (Proficiency in Premiere Pro and Cinema 4D is a plus)
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage their own time and work under tight deadlines.
- Ability to distill feedback and execute revisions
- Comfortable jumping between different phases of the process: design and animation
- Strong storytelling skills: make complicated graphic concepts accessible and engaging
- Ability to think visually and communicate your thought process
- Preferably experienced in designing and animating graphics across multiple mediums: documentaries, short-form, narrative, music videos, commercials a plus
- Familiar and comfortable collaborating in a post production environment
- Strong aesthetic sensibility demonstrated via a portfolio of design, animation, and storytelling etc.
- Balance the creation of multiple class graphic assets at a time
- Work with the Creative Directors, Project Managers, and Producers to craft graphic concepts
- Work within MasterClass brand guidelines
- Maintain highest quality standards and organization from concept to delivery
Requirements:
- 2-6 years as a motion designer in a professional post-production environment
- Excited to work with a small (but growing) interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience working in a professional environment
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
