The Role

We’re looking for a Lead User Experience (UX) Designer join our Product and Design team.

You will lead the experience in which our customers search, discover, and purchase items on ThriveMarket.com and our native apps.

You’ll be an ambassador for our users.

You’ll define the details of our product design, from early concepting of new features to final spit-and-polish execution.

Working closely with our talented engineering, analytics, and product management teams, you’ll bring exceptional focus to the quality of our customer experiences.

What You’ll Do:

Work alongside product designers, product managers, engineers, data analysts and data scientists to create easy, intuitive, and trustworthy experiences for our members, driving product discovery, purchase conversion, and habit formation leading to high retention Manage and mentor a team of Product Designers, foster a culture of effective cross-functional collaboration Leverage user testing, research, interviews, and analytical data to get essential feedback to improve future versions of Thrive Market shopping experience Create customer-centric designs that address business, brand and user requirements Build prototypes, flow diagrams, wireframes and mockups to communicate design options and align on a solution Collaborate with engineers to create design specifications for implementation and align with standards for web and mobile platforms Improve and standardize design components across the digital experience Recruit, nurture, and retain best-in-class talent Reinforce a design-thinking culture that leverages the best product, technology, and innovative talent

What You’ll Need:

7+ years of experience designing User Experiences, 2+ years managing teams Experience driving design for consumer-facing products at startup or growth stage companies Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or related field An exceptional portfolio of shipped e-commerce product design that showcases your ability to move fluidly between user experience design and interface design Proven experience in designing information architecture and information systems A passion for customer-centric design and continual experimentation, iteration and optimization making design decisions with data and user testing as vital tools Experience creating wireframes and user flows and the flexibility and willingness to move from idea to whiteboard to execution quickly Expert understanding of web and mobile design principles Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
