About The Job:

This Lead Product Design role is responsible for collaborating closely with Product Managers, design, and engineering to understand if products are usable and feasible, and is accountable for creating solutions that are both valuable and viable for the worlds largest Games and Entertainment media website. In this individual contributor role, youll also be building and maintaining IGNs design system, and enforcing consistency across products.

You will need to be able to influence your teammates, as well as colleagues, stakeholders, and key executives, through your user experience skill, and beauty in your execution.

A successful Lead Product Designer will be as cunning with a whiteboard or napkin as they are with their pixels. You can take products start-to-finish on fast deadlines and can build clickable prototypes in a short span of time, and iterate several times over within the span of a week.

Desired Qualifications:

? A portfolio of work demonstrating deep attention to detail, design best practices, and shipped products.

? 4-6 years working on technology-powered products as either a product manager, product designer, engineer, data analyst, data scientist, or user researcher.

? Demonstrated ability to learn multiple functional areas of business engineering, design, finance, sales, or marketing.

? Demonstrated ability to design solutions to hard problems with many constraints, using sound judgment and best practices

? Mastery of UI/UX design tools, and able to teach others

? Knowledge of designing for accessibility, and internationalization.

? Understanding of whats possible with modern HTML, and CSS.

? Proven ability to engage with engineers, designers, and company leaders in a constructive and collaborative relationship.

This Associate Product Management role is responsible for collaborating closely with the Lead Product Manager, design, and engineering to understand if products are usable and feasible, and the product manager is accountable for ensuring the solution is both valuable and viable for the worlds largest Games and Entertainment media website. In this individual contributor role, youll also be part of shaping our annual product strategy and quarterly objectives with the Head of Product.

You will need to be able to influence your teammates, as well as colleagues, stakeholders, and key executives, through your use of data, logic, and passion.

Product Managers must become experts in the constraints of IGNs business including editorial, sales, service, finance, legal, privacy, and resources. Product Managers must also contribute to the product team a deep knowledge of our users and customers, and the data about how our customers engage with our products. Finally, the product manager is expected to track industry trends and the competitive landscape as they pertain to their product.

IGNs Editorial, Advertising, and Visitor Experience Product Team has a large purview and often finds itself on the front lines of requests from stakeholders across all departments of the company. The team currently consists of a veteran IGN Lead Product Manager, and two designers, all of whom need to balance making long-term sustainable moves for IGNs site and apps, and nearer-term opportunities for revenue growth on a quarterly basis. A successful new team member will have to be a dynamic relationship builder, and effective prioritizer to sort out distractions from the work thats really important to the business, all with support from the Lead PM, and Head of Product.

Desired Qualifications:

? Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience.

? Demonstrated understanding of the techniques and methods of modern product discovery and product delivery.

? 1-2 years working on technology-powered products as either a product manager, product designer, engineer, data analyst, data scientist, or user researcher.

? Demonstrated ability to learn multiple functional areas of business engineering, design, finance, sales, or marketing.

? Demonstrated ability to figure out solutions to hard problems with many constraints, using sound judgment to assess risks, and to lay out your argument in a well-structured, data-informed, written narrative.

? Proven ability to engage with engineers, designers, and company leaders in a constructive and collaborative relationship.
