Instructional Designer- Talent Management

Summary and Purpose
The Instructional Designer – Talent Management creates innovative and engaging learner-centric talent development content using cutting-edge learning methodologies, authoring software, and graphic design tools. With creativity, attention to detail, and an eye for modern visual design, the candidate must have video editing and production experience, in-depth knowledge of instructional design principles, and adult learning theory.
Responsibilities and Duties
* The ability through a consultative and a collaborative approach, build Talent Development syllabuses for delivery through both virtual and stand-up delivery methods into the organization.
* Develop visual/media strategy that maximizes learner engagement and embeds the 99 Store’s Vision, Mission, and Values
* Perform needs analysis to determine talent development content solutions based on measurable learning objectives for store field associates and leadership, distribution center, operations, and store support center associates
* Conduct research to evaluate and synthesize information on a wide range of organizational development topics, such as leadership, performance management, customer service, retail merchandising, technical, and communication skills
* Consult with subject matter experts to create storyboards, audio/video scripts, job aids/infographics, toolkits, experiential scenarios, eLearning content, and micro-learning videos
* Record, edit, and produce creative video and audio content for online and instructor-led courses, and internal marketing of talent development initiatives
* Create presentations, PowerPoint slides, class exercises, handouts and instructions, and marketing materials
* Manage and coordinate the design and implementation of projects with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and internal/external customers
Minimum Required Experience/ Skills/Knowledge: (Please List)
* Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Education, Graphic Design, and related field
* Experience in developing and implementing projects with multiple delivery methods (ILT, VILT, blended eLearning, simulations, and mobile)
* Proficient in Articulate, Camtasia, Captivate, In-Design, Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe
* Experience creating storyboards, audio/video scripts, job aids/infographics, toolkits, experiential scenarios, eLearning content micro-learning videos, PowerPoint slides, class exercises, handouts and instructions, and marketing materials
* Proficient in project management
* Proficient in applying adult learning theory and instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM, etc.).
* Strong facilitation, written and oral communication skills.
* Experience managing LMS content
* Knowledge of learning assessment and evaluation methods
Preferred Experience/ Skills/Knowledge: (Please List)
* Expert in designing soft-skills, leadership development, and technical training content
* Expert in Articulate, Camtasia, Captivate, In-Design, Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe, and/or other cutting-edge authoring tools and technologies
* Expert in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Teams and Outlook
* Experience in machine learning and AI, designing for gamification, simulations, animation, virtual reality, and mobile
* Experience integrating social media applications for educational purposes
* Abide to the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy.
