Game Designer III, Content Systems – Unpublished R&D Product

In this role, you will build systems which deliver certain kinds of procedural content to players.

Your creativity and technical skills aid in building both new game systems and tuning/balancing existing game systems using an existing core game loop as a reference point.

You’ll collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and work with game engine toolsets to innovate upon player-focused designs that’ll delight millions around the world.
As a Game Designer III specializing in content systems, you excel in designing features which feel great to interact with, create sharp and exciting outcomes, meet pre-established goals and game vision, and deliver upon tone and theme.

You are adept at asking “how can we create robust, sustainable mechanisms for delivering a particular kind of experience repeatedly to players?” and then building towards successful outcomes.

You sit at the intersection between designers who are building individual content units and the larger tapestry of systems surrounding the holistic game experience, and act as a translator between them.

You partner with other designers, artists, and engineers to envision ways in which new systems could better serve players while also being smart about content re-use and modularity.

You use your deep expertise in game engine scripting to support other designers on the team in more technical content creation tasks.

You will report to the Lead World Designer on the team.
