Civil Engineering and Construction Management firm has an immediate requirement for an Electrical CADD Designer to support our major Municipal Water Projects.Job Responsibilities:Provide electrical engineering design and construction support that includes feeder wire and circuit breaker sizing, equipment layout, raceway sizing and layout etc.Develop engineering drawing and details for construction.Perform medium scale short circuit calculations, protection, lighting and coordination studies.Provide drafting and design support to the Project Electrical Engineer/Manager of wastewater-treatment plant projects; the Designer must be able to consider various design alternatives and must be able to provide design recommendations.The Designer will work with the Project Electrical Engineer to identify sources of power for wastewater projects; evaluate existing power sources for new equipment and new instrumentation; prepare drawings and specifications for the work defined in pre-design.Qualifications:Minimum of two years relevant software experience, including: AutoCAD, Revit, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Civil 3D and/or Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflows.Worked with reference files, template libraries, and understand basic CADD standards and methodologies; working with raster files and/or scanned drawings.Experience with the preparation of wastewater treatment and pumping plant engineering drawings; the ability to layout and perform design/drafting of engineering drawings from verbal direction, rough sketches or from scanned background.Minimum experience of 10 years in the design and construction of sewage treatment facility or related industrial setting; knowledge of Revit/BIM manual, City CADD Standards and Procedures.Good oral and written communication skills are essential. The Designer must be willing to work with others and receive and comply with instructions.Knowledge and applications of industry code and standards like the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), American National Standards Institute (ANSI), Los Angeles Building Code (LABC), etc.Company offers excellent wages, commensurate with experience, plus a choice of health benefit plans and levels of coverage.
