CREATIVE DIRECTOR, CONSUMER/GAMING CAMPAIGNS THE ROLE: We are looking for an experienced Creative Director to lead creative development for the consumer PC and gaming businesses.
As a part of the AMD Brand Creative team, reporting to the Head of Creative, you will help set the vision, guide the execution, and steward the success of marketing campaigns and product launches through creative excellence.
You collaborate well with marketing and external agencies and are a perfectionist who can inspire other creatives to do their best work in a collaborative environment.
THE PERSON: Solutions-oriented, collaborative creative leader.
Takes a holistic approach to the creative direction across the consumer PC and gaming product portfolios.
Loves developing digital creative for consumer campaigns across static, motion, film, CG creation, and events.
Passionate about developing effective, differentiated messaging and creative, is only satisfied with amazing and pushes for continuous improvement.
Driven to stay up to date on the latest data, strategies, and technologies in the industry
– consistently aware of what’s in the market and identifying opportunities for AMD to be innovative in our creative approach.
Strong storytelling mind and copywriting skills.
Experienced in partnering with product marketing teams in the development of campaigns and leading external agencies in creative excellence.
Able to think globally, balancing global consistency with local relevancy.
Ability to collaborate across departments and juggle multiple projects with tight deadlines.
Self-directed on conceptual design opportunities, able to lead and thrive in ambiguity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain quality and consistency across all campaigns and assets, continually thinking big picture on strategy
– aligned with brand identity, tone-of-voice, and product messaging.
Partner with the marketing segment teams from brief through execution.
Become a valued agency resource during creative concepting and campaign development, initiating a true partnership with external agencies.
Provide fresh design perspective across all campaigns driving consistency and clear best practices.
Lead collaborative working sessions on large campaigns to ideate, influence, and drive excitement with partner agencies and across AMD.
Participate in internal and external campaign review discussions providing a visual representation of feedback considered to assist with key stakeholder alignment and executive sell-in if required.
Collaborate and guide copy development with agencies, copywriters, and internal stakeholders.
Be data-driven, able to consolidate, sometimes inconsistent feedback, and provide clear business rationale and perspective for campaign direction.
React to campaign performance and make quick adjustments where needed.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Creative Director or creative leadership experience Big consumer brand experience in both agency and client-side.
