Your Role

Gensler’s Media and Technology Studio in Los Angeles is currently seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Designer with a successful track record working with teams on creative workplace interiors and base building design projects.

In this position, you will collaborate with our Design Directors to develop appropriate design solutions as well as coordinate design through the construction documentation phase of the project.

What You Will Do
Primary design leadership role on media and technology projects, including programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, and design development working with support of Design Director Develop space planning concepts and generate base building concepts Provide project team coordination for the finished plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction Work with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives Participate in the construction administration of projects and review of submittals and finish samples Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs
Your Qualifications
7-10+ years of related experience as an architectural designer with a strong background in corporate office development and interiors Strong knowledge of the design process working in close collaboration with Design Directors Outstanding graphic and verbal presentation skills Flexibility to focus and lead several project types in various stages of development Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship management skills Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp and 3-D Studio Max preferred Strong Revit skills, with knowledge of Adobe CS, SketchUp, Rhino and other digital tools Minimum Bachelors’ degree in Architecture Beginning of State Licensure and/or LEED accreditation is a plus
