Position Summary
This position reports to the Head of Current Creative and works closely with the creative and production team members.

This role is freelance, expectations are for them to join development meetings, pitch series/episodes, if greenlit they will work with the internal production team to produce their content for React Media’s O&O channels.
React Media is a documentarian of all things internet and pop culture.

We are looking for an experienced digital creative who loves the internet and pop culture as much as we do.

Someone who is capable of executing stellar short form content from pitch to launch.
The ideal candidate is a thorough researcher that is excited to dig in, use what they learn to write, and shepherd concepts from the spark of an idea to a polished video.

They are collaborative, enthusiastic, and love to create.

Key Responsibilities
Pitching and developing shows that speak to React Media’s audience, across platforms including YouTube, Facebook, Snapchat and more!

Work with the Executive Producers and Head of Programming and the company’s creative and production teams to help create original shows and formats that are innovative and aligned with the goals of their distribution channels Writing, producing, directing, and overseeing post-production of their greenlit projects Ensure output of high-quality content that entertains and/or educates Works to hit deadlines and communicates so that they are being met by all team members in the creation process Works with internal teams to prepare and stick to an episode/series budgets and reports financials appropriately Collaborating in regular creative pitch & development sessions to ensure tone and voice of work aligns with React Media’s as well as adheres to platform standards and practices Reviewing and digesting episode/series analytics to understand how to shape and improve future potential creative Communicate with points of contact, as well as asking for assistance and guidance Maintaining department documentation and communicating changes to all relevant team members
Qualifications
Experience in creating digital content is a must (please share your website/body of work/reel) Experience physically writing, directing, and producing content
– understanding of how budgets meet creative ideas A portfolio of successful digital/linear content you have created Strong working knowledge of social platforms (YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Reddit, TikTok etc.) Strong awareness of YouTube & internet culture, memes, vernacular, pop culture etc.

The intuition for creating compelling and entertaining content, identify the ingredients that make a hit show and utilizing available resources with maximum efficiency Excellent communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills Strong administrative skills and familiarity with all G Suite Applications
– working knowledge of Slack, and Frame.io are a plus Ability to ensure all deadlines are met appropriately, and that communication flows freely
