Corporate Instructional Designer (Remote)

Currently, we are looking for a remote Instructional Designer to join our team!

The Instructional Designer is experienced in planning, designing and developing highly effective programs, training courseware, job aids, eLearning modules, and reference materials to support business needs. The designer works with internal and external partners to develop course materials, ensures consistency of all training content across the organization to confirm language, content, and context are all appropriate and help to strengthen the CircusTrix brands. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic self-starter who has a strong passion in delivering quality and creative training materials in different modalities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts from different departments to develop training materials
  • Review, edit and format training materials to ensure content and formatting consistency across all learning platforms
  • Proofread and edit their own work and work of others to improve quality, readability, consistency, and effectiveness of training materials and to ensure brand standards
  • Writes training curriculum for new innovations, products, services, promotions, and field training that can be delivered in multiple training modalities
  • Regularly maintains and updates course content based on quality reviews and feedback from field trainers, learners, Franchise Owners & Park Managers, program surveys, Operations team, and other functional areas
  • Manages multiple projects with competing priorities
  • Experience developing blended (both instructor-led and technology-based content) learning curriculum within learning management systems
  • Works closely with internal business stakeholders, as well as other members of the training team, to ensure materials and online programs are developed for all training initiatives
  • Manage the development and resources utilized for the integration of all content into the program to include graphics, illustrations, activities, case studies and simulations
  • Research and apply emerging technology and concepts to training initiatives
  • Create eLearning modules to support business needs
  • Manage the LMS learning platform; admin, site design, content created for respective brands.
  • Assist in virtual training delivery and learner admin functions.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in instructional design and eLearning course development, including needs assessment, curriculum development, storyboarding, script writing, course publishing, and evaluation.
  • Degree in Instructional Design, Education or a related field is preferred
  • Technical writing or training experiences preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite and Adobe Creative Suite products
  • Well-versed in graphic design, eLearning multimedia production
  • Experience with enterprise learning management systems
  • Experience with eLearning authoring software (Articulate 360 is preferred)
  • Able to travel up to 10%
