About the Position:

This position will deliver consistent technical training programs with a focus on Customer Service Representatives and Technical Estimators. The technical trainer will develop and identify areas of opportunity with current training. In the classes that you teach, you will validate the correctness of the materials, set appropriate
expectations before and during the class, and ensure learner satisfaction with the scope and depth of
what is covered.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Effectively deliver training courses via a classroom and hands-on learning environment to include specific systems, applications and procedures.
• Technical system training – deepening technical knowledge of the team members with existing customer service platform (Tandem) as well as future SAP platform
• Help develop content for classroom/hands-on and online training for all CRL Customer Service & Technical Sales procedures as well as make recommendations.
• Create summaries for all classes to report out to management. Support/conduct follow up evaluations to measure effectiveness of training and recommended content/delivery improvements.
• Update current courses to reflect changes in technology and/or procedures as well as in the development of new courses including lesson plan, training material, pre-requisites and conducting pilot courses.
• Advise on updates to technical and user manuals to support use of company specific systems, applications and procedures. Helps ensure material is accurate and reflects current standards.
• Embed within Product Group Sales & Operations team and be fully versed with any latest business objectives and continuously drive development & training initiatives aligned with our development strategy
• Plan training logistics and facilitate virtual and on-site (as needed) training event
• Support the Learning & Development Specialist on other projects and task.

Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelors / Associates degree preferred; Vocational or Technical degree preferred
• Experience as an instructor in a classroom and/or hands-on environment preferred
• 3-5 years of experience in customer- facing roles (training, teaching)
• Prior CRL experience in Product Group Sales dept an asset
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, required
• Some experience with MS-Office tools: Word, Excel, & PowerPoint required
• Proficiency with virtual training/conference tools such as Teams
• Ability to work independently along with strong organization and time management skills required
• Experience with Learning Management Systems, and e-learning authoring tools (a plus!)
