JOB SUMMARY:

Our Nationwide Financial client in Aliso Viejo, CA is looking for a contract-to-hire Sr. HCM Oracle Application Support Analyst (HRIS) will join the team. The Sr. HCM Oracle Application Support Analyst (HRIS) for the Oracle HRIS Application is responsible for providing expert technical and consultative support to the business.  The successful candidate will be responsible for configuration, customization, and support of Oracle Human Capital Management system. You will serve as subject matter expert and provide system consulting in Human Resources HRIS system (Oracle Human Capital Management) to maximize the system’s benefits and features and to use Oracle more efficiently.  You will support the enhancements and customization of Oracle HCM and integration of third-party inbound and outbound files/applications as well as evaluate business processes and procedures and gather requirements to create functional/technical solutions. You will partner closely with the HR leadership and HRIS teams to perform duties as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 to 5+ years Oracle HCM configuration and release update management required.
  • Expert level knowledge of Oracle HCM system and fast formulas
  • Previous experience in Oracle HCM configuration and support required in the areas of Compensation, Benefits, Payroll and Time Management.
  • BSA experience, training and/or certification desired.
  • Knowledge of Business Objects.
  • Strong judgment, decision-making abilities and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to direct the day-to-day activities of a project team required.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization as an adviser on system capabilities and business processes.
  • Ability to make sound decisions that have significant impact on business operations and services.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, collaboration and technical skills.
  • Ability to understand complex problems and to collaborate and explore alternative solutions.
  • Knowledge of change management and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) methodologies.
  • Understanding of non-public personal information (NPPI) and data privacy legislation and standards such as GLBA, OFAC, MISMO, et al.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical job experience.
  • Ability to maintain confidential non-public personal information (NPPI) at all times.
  • Ability to organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple and sometimes conflicting projects.
  • Ability to create test cases and to check results for accuracy.
  • Ability to translate verbal instructions and conversations into written requirement specification documents.
  • Ability to verbally communicate technical information in layman terms.

Ability to accurately communicate with individuals in person, by phone, email and other written methods

Job Requirements:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •  Configure Oracle HCM to customize and enhance the system to achieve identified business results and resolve issues.
  • Serve as subject matter expert and provide system consulting regarding Oracle HCM.  Identify opportunities and make recommendations to the business for maximizing system features, functionality, and interfaces with other applications and vendors.
  • Facilitate meetings with HR leadership, other business leaders, and/or HRIS peers to capture requirements, determine system goals, and understand the business issue to be solved; design, develop, and build solutions that provide resolution using HCM.  Identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
  • Manage and implement system releases and updates; identify any negative potential outcomes in advance of the system updates and provide solutions to mitigate them.
  • Perform system configurations, evaluate workflow  to streamline and automate; design, build, and test system configurations, scripts and other tools in the test environment; document detailed test plans and test cases; promote changes to the production environment.
  • Manage test environments and user acceptance testing, tracking progress and project managing the testing.
  • Configure Oracle HCM to generate outbound interface files destined for other Carrington systems and third party vendors; integrate inbound third-party and web-based applications/files.
  • Work with third-party technical support teams and vendor account managers to troubleshoot and escalate any file integration issues identified.
  • Recommend technical design solutions and document the technical design requirements, including any security design considerations or solutions.
  • Create test plans and conduct testing sessions with system users.
  • Perform data validation and analysis of system work products to ensure accuracy, research to identify and resolve root cause of any systems related issues.
  • Utilize fast formulas and other Oracle HCM design tools as well as SQL, Excel and other Microsoft tools for data analysis and reporting as well as proprietary reporting tools integrated in HR systems and related business applications.
  • Apply data governance principles in ensuring data quality, integrity and timeliness are maintained.
  • Ensure data integrity and solution compliance with non-public personal information (NPPI) protection and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Develop end user documentation, including application training manuals and job aids.
  • Assist HRIS team members as needed.
