This role is responsible for the full range of activities to meet MnPRA’s funding goals from foundations, corporations, and state and federal grants.
This is a highly visible role both internally and externally and requires significant communication, collaboration, and diplomacy with strategic partners, community leaders, government officials, funders, etc.

The essential functions include the following:Recovery Community OrganizationLeads recovery based community engagement initiatives, including Hennepin County, Dakota County, and Scott County partnerships and projectsSupports the establishment and growth of MnPRA as a Recovery Community OrganizationLeads the development of long range and annual prevention and recovery objectives and strategiesKeep informed on fundraising trends outside of the organizationPrepare and submit funding applications
– grant writingManages tracking, scorecards, and reportingTracks developments, propose and develop strategies to leverage dynamic market strengths/opportunities, and to overcome market threatsCommunity EngagementManages the implementation of community based projectsOversees budget, reporting, and evaluationsRepresents KTT and MnPRA in community based collaborations and initiatives to build capacity and sustainability of effortsPreventionCollaborates with the Sr.
Manager, Prevention & Community Engagement to manage outcomes of youth prevention and recovery effortsEvaluate and measure program results; making refinements as neededEstablish and maintain relationships with school administrators,Personnel Supervised:Community Recovery Service SupervisorCommunity Recovery Advocates (7)Required Skills & Experience (Minimum Qualifications):Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the prevention & recovery field; including, marketing, communications, strategic planning, and grant writingDemonstrated success and experience in securing grant funding and managing community based initiativesLived experience regarding substance use and recovery.
Note that lived experience may include being impacted by a family member, or any other effects of substance misuseMust be highly organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced work environmentDemonstrated high degree of professionalism and integrity, as well as ability to take decisive action in the face of ambiguous information
