Operations Support Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY: This role will support the Banks back office operations.

This position will provide operational support by processing fraud and adjustment claims, bank control and account reconciliation, legal processes, Reg E claims, mobile deposit and other operational support.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Back office support (100%) * Complete exception item processing including but not limited to non-posts, stop payments, chargebacks, NSF items, and daily recap reports.* Research, process, and monitor all fraud claims, credit/debit posting, and adjustment claims.* Reconciliation of Operations support GLs and applicable Bank Control Accounts E.g.

Cashier’s checks, Expense check accounts.* Review and ensure incoming large checks posting to customer accounts meet review criteria.* Review mobile deposit checks to ensure check negotiability and collectability.* Process all incoming and outgoing check collection request.* Process all incoming legal process request including but not limited to garnishments, levies, and subpoenas.* Coordinate year end tax reporting and customer notices.* Research and process Reg.

E claims, customer disputes, and post account credits according to required timeframes.* Research and process unclaimed properties according to individual state’s escheatment requirements.* Process daily return deposit items.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: * Successfully complete all mandatory training on related Bank and BSA compliance as well as other laws and regulations as assigned in a timely manner.* Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience and Skills Required: * High School Diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred.* Minimum 3 years of experience in a banking or financial services environment preferred.* Back office operations experience in financial institution preferred.* Experience with FISERV systems preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: * Minimum mobility to work in an office setting; sit for prolonged period of times; operate office equipment including use of a computer keyboard; and reach with hands and arms.

Employees are occasionally required to walk and stand and lift and move records and documents weighing 30 pounds or less.

COMMUNICATION DEMANDS: * Attention to detail, strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, self-motivated, and analytical skills, ability to interact with all levels of management and staff.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: * Standard office environment.

Noise level in work environment is usually average.

Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
