Mailroom Claims Support Associate

3 Month Contract-To-Hire Mailroom Clerk Description: Operates a variety of equipment to include computers, printers, copy machines, facsimile machines and mailing equipment.

Receives and distributes incoming mail and processes outgoing mail, according to established procedures.

Applies appropriate procedures regarding the security of such items as drafts and supplies.

May record new loss reports.

Demonstrates an understanding of the various Auto and Fire segments in order to answer calls and route customers efficiently to the appropriate associate for handling.

Removes items from printers (e.g.

correspondence, drafts, estimates, etc).

Matches and routes these items as directed.

Assists with the processing of drafts, estimates and other forms in accordance with compliance / procedures.

Routes system generated reports to the appropriate area.

Creates and routes reports and other documents to appropriate areas as requested.

Learns and applies State Farm’s customer service philosophy.

Collaborates with internal partners and communicates with external vendors.

May assist in the training and/or mentoring of less experienced Associates.

Processes and records recoveries in accordance with established compliance procedures.

Updates claim files and data fields in accordance with established compliance procedures.
