Job Description – IT Support Specialist

Job Summary

The IT Support Specialist will provide day-to-day technical support for BOND staff while adhering to company and client security policies. S/he is responsible for ensuring the computer systems and production center are maintained and operate reliably by providing hands-on system administration support, system maintenance, and operations support for all departments within the organization. The IT Support Specialist will report to the Senior Director, Head of IT.

Your Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain computer systems and associated IT / AV equipment, such as proactive system maintenance and scheduled downtimes.
  • Respond to break/fix requests and demonstrate ownership of the problem until resolved.
  • Computer deployments include unboxing, building, configuring, testing, validating, deploying computer and peripheral hardware.
  • Software installation following department policy.
  • Ensure equipment is always production-ready.
  • Required to document daily tasks in ticketing system with detailed resolution.
  • Complete all assigned projects on time and continue to perform daily support requests.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and triage and prioritize based on production needs.
  • Follow and educate the general IT policy and train end-users accordingly.
  • Strong skills in macOS
  • Understanding of networking principles and equipment (e.g., switches, routers, cabling, VLANs)
  • Ability to perform typical (basic) network troubleshooting/performance issues.
  • Support onsite and offsite end-users, including on-call rotation, some after-hours & weekends.
  • Must be flexible with work schedule based on production timelines.

  • Read and comprehend documentation of hardware systems, software, patches, and release notes.

Technical Skills

Strong understanding in MacOS operating system.

Familiar with Windows and Linux, a plus.

Command-line proficiency (bash, or PowerShell) a plus.

Understanding of production applications (Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Cinema 4D, Photoshop), a plus Support administrative applications (Microsoft Office, G-Suite).

Experience with MDM systems (JAMF), a plus.

Education / Experience

Minimum of 4 years of desktop support experience.

Experience with editorial and graphic artists supporting creative workstations (Adobe, VFX, and other creative industry workflows), a plus.

Fast-paced, high-pressure, production environment experience is most relevant.

College degree or equivalent education/experience is required.

Performance of the essential functions involves the following physical and sensory abilities

Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. on a regular basis

Frequently use hands to manipulate equipment or media.

Frequently typing on a keyboard

Frequently sitting and performing desk work.

Seeing and reading without difficulty (with or without personal corrective aides)

Frequently reaching and pulling equipment.

Must be able to climb stairs and ladders to perform work.

DUTIES AND TASKS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE. SOMETIMES ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ARE ASSIGNED TO ASSIST WITH OTHER DEPARTMENTS. WE ASK YOU TO BE FLEXIBLE WITH THE DUTIES ON THE LIST.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
