IT (Information Technology) Support Engineer

4medica Inc

Job Description Salary: $70,000-$80,000 Who We Are: 4medica is a leading provider of real-time clinical data management and healthcare interoperability software and services, providing clinicians with a unified view of patient information nationwide.

The company participates in multiple healthcare markets (verticals) by leveraging its best-in-class data management and interoperability products and services.

While enlarging its footprint in the laboratory market with innovative products, 4medica has entered HIE and hospital markets and is poised to engage payers with its current offering.

We are realizing our vision of connecting healthcare for providers and patients with one patient one record tools.

The IT Support Engineer will be responsible for ongoing maintenance and support of interfaces, products, and systems.

Provide customer support including troubleshooting, research, triage, and resolution of issues.

Complete new integration project tasks as assigned.

Analyze business requirements and propose solutions to enhance product functionality.

Collaborates internally with teams across the organization as well as externally with customers and interface partners.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide technical assistance with new implementations as well as existing interfaces.

Troubleshoot and resolve support issues as assigned for EMPI (Enterprise Master Person Index), EMR (Electronic Medical Record)/EHR (Electronic Health Record), LIS (Laboratory Information Systems), and other systems.

Performs and documents root cause analysis on all assigned tickets.

Build expertise in application design, architecture, and implementation.

Analyze complex business requirements and provide direction for implementation efforts.

Professionally communicate issues and updates to internal and external stakeholders.

Create and maintain technical documentation for all assigned implementations and applications.

Identify opportunities for improvements to current processes and procedures.

Other duties as assigned.

Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field Experience Required: Healthcare IT experience.

2 years of professional experience in IT support, development, or engineering.

Customer-facing experience.

Preferred: 5 years of relevant professional experience.

Knowledge of clinical healthcare workflows.

Experience with EMPI, EMR/EHR, LIS, or HIE (Health Information Exchanges)/HIN (Health Information Network).

Skills Required: Experience with healthcare standards including HL7, FHIR, and CCDA (Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture).

Experience with or knowledge of DBMS (database management system), including SQL and NoSQL.

Connectivity protocols (VPN (Virtual Private Network), SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol), web services).

Experience with end-to-end development and the SDLC (System Development Life Cycle).

Expert with Microsoft Office365 and project management tools.

Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills with exceptional written and verbal skills.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Able to work independently as well as within a team environment.

Strong customer orientation, active listening skills, and the ability to anticipate customer needs.

Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and work independently with multiple interruptions.

Preferred: Expert knowledge of healthcare standards.

Experience with integration engines.

Spring Cloud Data Flow.

Supports the achievement of strategic objectives critical to other functional areas within the firm.

ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT: Reports to Director of Interoperability.

WORK FROM HOME REQUIREMENTS: A quiet, private, distraction-free home office work environment.

A reliable high-speed internet connection (cable, DSL, or fiber) with speeds of at least 10Mbps download and 5Mbps upload.

Willingness to do constant sedentary work.

Discipline to work from home while following a set schedule.
