Director/Senior Director, Client Services – Influencer

BEN is seeking a Director or Senior Director of Client Service to drive client retention and growth for its growing influencer marketing business.

This integral position will oversee the development of key client relationships, specific programs, and campaigns for world-class of clients across a variety of verticals, including gaming, lifestyle, and more.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for driving best-in-class client service and helping brands achieve their goals through exceptional influencer marketing. Overseeing a team of Account Managers, Coordinators, and Specialists, the Director/Sr Director will build client confidence and trust, strive to exceed client expectations, ensure all commitments are met and expectations exceeded, and secure client loyalty by achieving shared goals.

This is an important management role over one of BEN’s largest global accounts and the Director/Sr Director will have an opportunity to inspire, build, and evolve this and other accounts in a very fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a team of account managers, coordinators and specialists, guiding them on day-to-day account management as well as providing coaching and mentorship
  • Interpret client RFPs and translate them into actionable plans; when an RFP is not available, know the questions to ask and gather necessary information to setup the internal teams for success
  • Serve as the account “quarterback” and manage team client activities at every stage of the client lifecycle – onboarding, proposals, insights-driven post-mortems, growth strategies, etc
  • Be a champion of our clients and know how to leverage and collaborate with the right BEN resources – Executive, Strategy, Research, etc.

  • Develop project plans, strategies, timelines and status reports to ensure a superb client experience
  • Manage your team’s resources, ensuring that each team member is delivering against goals, and supporting overall team targets
  • Partner with VP Client Service to create strategic account plans and client growth strategies
  • Help the client consistently understand the value BEN can offer through the introduction of new business ideas, new relevant capabilities, etc.
  • Develop deep client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor and escalation point for most day-to-day issues
  • Be a strong and confident presenter with knowledge of BEN’s products and services and how they can serve client’s needs and fit into clients’ landscape of options
  • Guide the team in onboarding new clients and setting clients up for success based on their specific business needs

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in account management; at least 2 years of management experience
  • Track record in growing clients, especially larger, global clients
  • Understanding and ability to plan for both quick turn and long-lead campaigns
  • Strong leadership skills who can collaborate and communicate effectively across multiple divisions and form strong relationships especially with BEN’s Talent and Campaign Execution Teams to ensure that campaigns meet client goals and BEN’s Strategy team to translate abstract and complex client goals into award-winning campaigns
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; an expert storyteller
  • Track record of building client relationships with a variety of marketing and organizational models and growing accounts through innovation and new revenue streams
  • A positive and solutions focused role model with the ability to troubleshoot and proactively solve for potential problems before they get too big; able to serve as the team’s escalation point and sounding board on day-to-day issues
  • Understanding of the influencer marketing space, media landscape, or social media strongly preferred
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with experience in a high growth, fast-paced and evolving environment is a big plus
  • Experience in the video game vertical and/or personal interest in video games
  • Experience managing an enterprise level client with multiple brands and/or points of contact on the client side
  • Passion for lifestyle and pop culture trends such as music, sports, fashion, etc.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Comfortable with change with a demonstrated ability for critical thinking
