Observes and monitors client’s behavior and charts observations and incidents.
Provides training on basic personal and social skills, simple academics, or work skills.
May assist with meal preparation and ADL’s.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Instructs and advises clients/residents on daily living skills in one-on-one instructionObserves and monitors client behaviorCounsels and advises clients on behavioral problems, daily decision-making, and the resolution of minor problemsProvides personal care as neededPerforms housekeeping duties, such as cleaning, washing clothes and dishesMay plan, shop for and prepares meals, including special dietsPrepares and maintains records of client progress and services performed, reporting changes in client condition to manager or supervisorMonitors self-administration of medicationsThis position requires a clear MVR, valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.Technical Competencies: Ability to observe and monitor participants’ behaviorAbility to assist and supervise participants with daily living activitiesKnowledge of agency confidentiality policiesKnowledge of individualized service plansKnowledge of the documentation processAbility to communicate both orally and in writingAbility to plan recreational activities for participantsKnowledge of agency safety policies and proceduresAbility to complete all daily housekeeping choresAbility to identify and report facility repairs and equipment problemsConflict resolution skillsAbility to identify disruptive behaviorAbility to train individuals in personal hygiene and other daily living activitiesAbility to recognize contributions and celebrate accomplishments and other duties as assignedRequirements:High School Diploma or GED equivalent Valid GA Driver’s License and reliable transportationAcceptable driving recordAcceptable referencesCertified Nursing Assistant’s (CNA) preferred, but not requiredPhysical Requirements:Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds whenever needed.Due to the volume of applications received, we are unable to provide information on application status by phone or e-mail.
