World of Hope, SLS supports adults with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors.

We are looking for candidates to join our team to support and assist adult individuals with developmental disabilities to achieve their goals by providing individualized support and assistance.

Individuals are served in 1:1 client ratios, depending on their needs in their own homes.

Job Summary: We are looking to hire for the following positions:

Part-time Weekends Day Shift and Evening Shift Every Saturday and Sunday Including Holidays

On-Call / Per Diem shifts with room for growth as we expand.

Responsibilities and Duties Requirements:

Must be able to intervene potentially violent behavior by the client.

There may be times staff may be confronted by this client with violent behaviors.

(CPI Training is required).Client is a senior male adult who has acquired very aggressive behavioral challenges (physical and verbally)

Assist client with his personal hygiene, such as bathing(showering) and keeping his clothing and living areas clean.

Assist client with taking his meds by reminding him and checking his blood pressure.

Must be able to walk with client sometimes for an hour or more, client sometimes like to try and Awol and will walk for hours especially if he knows staff is following him.

Requirements:

Successful candidates will demonstrate honesty and respect while maintaining a positive, professional work ethic.

Must have a high level of accountability and dependability.

Must be comfortable providing personal care and working with individuals requiring a behavior plan.

Able to address the basic care needs of individuals including but not limited to the following: medical, nutritional, hygienic, social, recreational, personal management, transportation, etc.

Must be certified in CPR/First Aid and CPI Training upon or prior to hiring.

Ability to sit, stand, walk and lift up to 30 lbs.

Successfully pass a Live Scan DOJ/FBI background check.

Possess valid California Driver’s license and provide a current driving record issued by the DMV

Provide current car insurance with your name listed as insured.

Qualifications: Two years of training and experience in providing support services for individuals who are challenged with physical or developmental disabilities, or at least an A.A.

degree in psychology or related field.

Job Types: Part-time Weekends 4hr shifts and 8 hr shifts

Pay: $18.00 per hour
