Our client has a new, contract-to-hire opportunity for a Desktop Support Technician .
Scope of Activity: Deliver exceptional customer service Responsible for interacting and servicing our clients with any technical problem they are experiencing Be helpful, relatable, and pleasant while diagnosing and fixing their problems Solve a broad range of day-to-day onsite technical issues on network infrastructure and internal desktop systems Desktop software installation and configuration Customize the customer experience for every individual by tailoring all communication, instructions, and product knowledge to the level of the individual Determine the most cost-effective repair to minimize customer downtime Prepare reports for analysis of product failure trends and service issues Supporting our customers and proactively identifying their needs Work to create the ideal experience that any customer would seek to encounter Qualifications: Intermediate understanding of end-user hardware, operating systems, business applications, and ticketing systems such as Jira Outstanding customer service skills Solid work ethic; ability to work with minimal supervision Meticulous attention to detail Organizational skills to handle a high volume of tickets at varying stages of completion Capable of basic project management and execution Excellent business communications, writing, telephone skills Ability to prioritize, multitask and quickly adapt to changes Technical awareness; able to match resources to technical issues appropriately Awareness of the organization’s key services for which support is being provided Understanding of how support tools, techniques, and technology are used to provide services Proficient typing skills to ensure quick and accurate entry of service request details Self-starter that can work independently and on a team Able to lift up to 50lbs, stand or sit for long periods, crawl under desks, and perform repetitive movements such as bending, lifting and typing We will consider for employment all qualified applicants, including those with criminal histories, arrest, and conviction records in a manner consistent with the requirements of applicable state and local laws.
