Your Future Team: Bel Air Investment Advisors LLC

Bel Air Investment Advisors LLC, an advisory practice of Hightower, provides investment management and advisory services to wealthy individuals, families, trusts and foundations, targeting clients with $20 million or more in investable assets. We offer a diverse mix of proprietary and sub-advisory investment strategies within our open architecture platform. The firm was founded in 1997, with offices based in Los Angeles built on a set of client-centric core beliefs which guide its practice.

Bel Air Investment Advisors LLC employs more than 50 individuals including financial analysts, investment advisors, research professionals, portfolio managers, fixed income and equity traders, and administrative support. The company is looking to add a Client Service Associate (CSA) to help the team grow.

The Position

The CSA is responsible for the coordination of account, investment, and service-related tasks for the assigned advisory team(s). The CSA acts as a liaison on behalf of the advisory team and their clients to coordinate and complete tasks with other departments including Operations, Portfolio Administration, Portfolio Implementation, and the Fixed Income Group.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinates the implementation of the service and operational functions of the advisory team necessary to ensure proper servicing of clients and the timely/accurate execution of investments.
  • Acts as a liaison between the advisory team and clients/internal departments to provide day to day support in responding to advisor and client inquiries and ensuring timely and accurate completion of operational/product activities.
  • Coordinates the new client process including participating in meeting preparation, collection of client background information, providing and obtaining required account and investment strategy documentation, and operational coordination of account establishment and transfers.
  • Coordinates the asset allocation & reallocation process including, addressing necessary paperwork, account establishment, and investment implementation and/or changes with applicable department(s).
  • Provides customer service to clients by providing information, responding to inquiries, conducting research, and submitting and ensuring the completion of service requests.
  • Maintains proficiency in all investment strategies, services, policies, and procedures to effectively respond to inquiries and complete service requests. Solve problems through a strong understanding of operational and firm processes.
  • Performs other necessary duties and participates in Firm projects as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have experience and attributes in the following areas:

  • Two to five years experience in a similar role with an investment management firm and/or broker-dealer.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the financial services industry.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative to identify and complete tasks. Can handle multiple assignments and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to solve problems, anticipate needs and provide superior service.
  • High energy with ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proven organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with ability to prioritize and organize workflow
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-intensity work environment
  • Ability to acquire a working knowledge of the portfolio of accounts
  • Self-starter and able to work independently
  • Superior interpersonal, organizational and client service skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Flexible and willing to perform other tasks as assigned
  • Strong technical skills using the Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • BA/BS degree in finance or related field preferred
