Large hospital system There are lots of great places to work You should see yourself hereRELOCATION ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE5 hospitals and ambulatory sites:North and Northwest suburbs to include: Barrington, Libertyville, Elgin, Park Ridge, Chicago North25 30% regular travel to the sites Growth opportunities while managing a large team Manage a team of IT field technicians and analystManage the operation and maintenance of the organization’s information (electronic data) systemsMeet the organization’s business needs and uses the organization’s IT resources effectively.Plan, prioritize, and manage IT support and maintenance activities to ensure that organization’s information systems function reliably and that IT resources are used effectively.Research, evaluate and recommend hardware and software products to enhance the capabilities of current information systems.Liaise with functional or operational area managers to understand their current and future information needs and determine how information systems should be installed, configured and maintained to best meet these needs.Ensure that applications and infrastructure are current and available to support business operations.Ensure that technology problems and service requests are resolved in accordance with service level objectives and information systems policies.Effectively communicate technology changes and outages to impacted business users.Interact regularly with site/region executives, service line and operational leaders to collect and understand new business needs, relevant issues or adoption barriers.Locate existing solutions or develops new technology to solve site/region issues where appropriate.Ensure that the local site/region technology and infrastructure meets or exceeds established uptime targets through capacity planning, backup & recovery planning, lifecycle planning and server health monitoring.Investigate, tests and applies necessary system and application updates/patches to reduce exposure to malicious or unauthorized access.

Also ensures that all system software is properly licensed and tracked.WHAT YOU NEED FOR SUCCESS:Bachelor’s Degree in Business.Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field.7 years of experience in information technology and/or project management.3 year of management experience in managing staff and budgets in an Information Technology environment.Knowledgeable of performance management and improvement techniques.

Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access) or similar products.
