Our patients have problems that can lead to social isolation,unemployment and depression.

The individual holding this position will: greetpatients at the time of their appointment and check them in and out in UCLA’selectronic health record (CareConnect); perform temperature checks and screen patients for COVID symptoms upon arrival, collect patient payments, make informedscheduling decisions based on knowledge of clinical practice at this Clinic;register new patients in CareConnect; receive incoming phone calls; closelymonitor items in order and referral workqueues in CareConnect to ensure timelyscheduling of appointments; request authorizations; reconcile cliniciancharges; maintain par levels for supplies, verify insurance benefits within a well-definedscope.
Customer service is heavily emphasized at the Clinic.
This position will float between Santa Monica and Westwood based on operational needs.
QualificationsProvide the highest level of customer service.Prioritize assignments when faced with heavy workload, deadlines,interruptions, and competing requests tocomplete tasks in a timely manner.
Interact diplomatically with a diversepopulation composed of staff, physicians, administrators, and outsidepersonnel.Modify and adapt office procedures when confronted with changing operationalneeds.Once trained, utilize Medical System structure and policies to serve as aresource for questions, referrals, and documentation.Recognize and deal appropriately with sensitive and confidential issues.Once trained, utilize the electronic health record (CareConnect) to performadministrative functions forvarious tasks related to patient services.Effectively use Word and ExcelUCLA is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
