Overview:The Sales Support Associate is an entry level position at Acosta working closely with our clients for our Costco business.
The role entails auditing vendor’s orders, confirming accuracy, ensuring vendor commitments in accuracy and pricing, preventing any financial deductions.
The Sales Support Associate must possess strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills to interact successfully supporting vendors, customers and managers.
Hybrid office model (Training in person) Prefer Microsoft Skills.Responsibilities:Essential Functions:Review ordering / purchases products from customer – including the completion of all order forms, transportation requests, packaging requirements, legal forms for interstate / international transport and as well all financial forms dealing with the purchase / sale.Auditing all forms for completion, accuracy and inclusion to prevent any negative financial impact or deductions.Support ADW programs and maximize sales by understanding Costco objectives and building relationships.Confirm orders commitment with vendorsVia email / verbal / fax confirm back from vendors on all orders, email / fax of order must request confirmation of po, qty ordered and delivery date.Vendor sends confirm w/pricing – must match all order for accuracy (resolve discrepancy immediately.Minimize / deductions, review orders with Business Managers.Smaller vendor commitmentEnsuring vendor’s Demos have been scheduled and performed.Tracking, ensuring all materials for each scheduled Demo is available and on site.Track and deal with member complaints and queries.Possess a comprehensive knowledge of the Customer’s operation and key competitors.Receiving and handling of client samples.Organizational dutiesSupport accurate Vendor and item setup in ADW systems with current info / pricing to include orders from BBS / Roadshows.Support accurate / updated files for all item spec sheets / pricing / common forms on central locations.Maintain all SLH files by vendor.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Education Requirements:High School Diploma/GEDBachelor’s degree in Business, Customer Service, or related field preferred.Work Experience Requirements:0-2 years’ experience in business process solutions, customer service and/or office administrative experience preferred in manufacturing, costing, pricing, distribution, product line, etc.Proven food broker experience preferred.Experience may be substituted for some of the above education.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:Strong interpersonal, organizational and administrative skills.Strong ability to effectively communicate effectively with vendor, customers and team-members.Able to operate computer systems, proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).Ability to multi-task, strong problem solving with attention to detail.Ability to protects and secures all confidential and proprietary information.Ability to type minimum of 60 wpm.Must have a valid driver’s license and must be able to drive a car for extended periods of time.
