Project Manager (Construction Engineering)

The Degenkolb Construction Engineering Practice Area leverages our core Structural Engineering expertise and creativity to assist contractors with pushing boundaries of scale, complexity, and schedule on some of the most diverse and challenging construction projects on the West Coast. 

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with an established client base in the following sectors: steel erection engineering and connection design, excavation shoring and building underpinning design, and/or on-call support for General Contractors on both new and existing building projects.

This position is ideal for someone that exhibits enthusiasm and energy for Construction Engineering work, enjoys partnering directly with contractors on fast-paced projects, and has a desire to lead the development and growth of our Construction Engineering practice in our downtown Los Angeles regional office.

The requirements for the position are as follows:

  • Bachelor?s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering required (Master?s Degree in Structural Engineering preferred).
  • 9+ years relevant work experience.
  • California Civil Engineering license required (registration as a Structural Engineer in California is preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and mentor staff and to collaborate effectively with contractors and other project team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to participate in the enhancement and implementation of business development strategies and to leverage professional network to generate new opportunities.
  • Knowledge of Revit and Tekla software is a plus.
  • Active participation in professional or client-based activities is a plus.
