Machine Operator (MILL, 2nd Shift)

Operators will be responsible for operating a variety of Mori Seiki 3 & 4 Axis Verticals, as well as Matsuura, Toyoda, Okuma 4 Axis Horizontal milling centers with pallet changers. All with Fanuc controls.Operators will perform various machining tasks on aerospace components from simple setups, jaw changes, machine operation, monitoring, adjusting tool offsets, changing cutting tools, simple troubleshooting, keeping machine clean and clear of chips. Machine Operators will also be responsible for inspecting parts to specifications and making offset adjustments, or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications.Common materials machined are: 6061-T6 Aluminum, 6Al-4V Titanium, 4330/4340, 9310 steel, 15-5PH, 13-8 PH, Custom 465, & Inconel.Operators will run multiple production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position and secure machinery. Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications and in a timely fashion.Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. May have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 1-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field. Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision.
