– Assembler / Pasting Machine Operator As an essential job in the assembly process of car batteries you prepare the grid panels to become part of the car battery.
You will operate an automatic pasting machine and panel dryer to apply oxide to grid panels.
After the panels are completed you inspect them and place the grids in an automatic feeding device.
Performs cleanup tasks which can be safely performed while the equipment is running; undertakes tooling and equipment maintenance; assists in changeover and setups, loads trucks of plates in the Chemset, and supplies grids to the Paster.
5 days a week (Sunday is the start of the work week), may be required to work overtime and weekends as needed, and come in early or stay late depending on production demands.
Hours worked over 40 hours per week are paid at time and a half.
Saturdays are paid at time a half and Sundays are paid at double time.
Required Qualifications Basic computer skills Basic math, reading and writing skills Able to work in a fast pace environment Detail oriented Able to work overtime and weekends as needed A minimum of 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing environment or other industry Must be able to wear required PPE (if applicable) Qualified applicants must be a U.S.
