Together, we create something unique that keeps on growing year after year.Are you our next great Fleet Manager?Our Fleet Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining the fleet of vehicles and equipment, for making equipment available when needed at job sites, and for managing utilization of our fleet of trucks and off-road equipment.
Strong hands-on leadership, management and communication skills are essential.Highlights of what our Fleet Manager will do:Tracking record of profitably of a large fleet; light and medium-duty trucks (over 25) and off-road construction equipment (about 30)Optimizing equipment availabilityScheduling, dispatching and transporting fleetAnalyzing and explaining equipment downtime and under-utilizationDeveloping successful implementation plans and programs necessary to increase uptime and utilizationImproving the utilization and reduction of operating costs and capital expenditureImproving R& M (including vendor selection and cost control)Are you the right fit for this role?Skills & experience that are necessary as a Fleet Manager will include, but not limited to:2+ years of leadership/management experienceMechanical experience and knowledge is a plusKnowledge of CA State DOT Laws and Requirements for Compliance a mustStrong communication and negotiating skillsAbility to work a fluctuating scheduleBilingual in Spanish a plusExperience with computerized Maintenance Management softwareProficient with Microsoft OfficePerks and pluses:Medical, Dental, Vision, FSAHealthcare benefit program & 401K match program9 paid holidays per year with paid vacation & sick leaveFun and fast-paced working environment with a great work-life balancePaid training/certification and career advancementGothic’s company culture fosters growth, inspires longevity and rewards mutual loyaltyHere at Gothic Landscape, we believe that your success is our success.
