PURPOSE AND SCOPE Working in a fast-paced distribution facility, providing forklift and general maintenance duties support to the facility.
Maintain duties as assigned in a safe and thorough work-related atmosphere, representing the department through positive interactions with other departments, and ensuring adherence to forklift and general maintenance duty policies, while meeting Ace performance standards.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES: Upkeep of the forklifts and pallet jacks within the facility.
Also, to provide training along with re-training to team members on all industrial mobile material handling equipment Address issues as it relates to Preventative Maintenance and general maintenance issues within the facility.
Complete all assigned PM&039;s within the designated timeframe, within the interior and exterior of the facility.
Maintain all equipment as it relates to the assigned job.
Handle general maintenance calls as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provides support to the Maintenance department.
Must be a team-player .
Provide general maintenance support to the forklift and pallet jack areas, and be available to support the facility maintenance department, as needed.
Use our Maintenance Software system to track PM&039;s and input information into the system.
Log all Maintenance/Forklift assignments into our maintenance software program, for auditing purposes.
Maintain training records for all training given for new hires Follow training guideline to ensure team members are properly trained for their areas of work PM and maintain the floor sweepers.
Also monitor and log floor sweeper hours daily Fill in as facility maintenance during absences, or call-ins Have capabilities to utilize all maintenance equipment to complete assignments.
Perform Lockout/Tagout, as needed for assignments Conduct weekly inspections, as it pertains to areas of concern dealing with forklifts, and other issues Update Facility Manager of all concerns, equipment down for extended periods, or parts that are needing ordered.
Also, be a problem-solver within the facility WORK ACTIVITIES: Must follow proper maintenance training procedures and processes Maintain proper general maintenance safety guidelines Complete training and requirements, as it relates to the job Perform housekeeping duties, keep floors clean, and keep work areas neat and clean Maintain a safe work environment.
Perform any other assigned duties by the Facilities Manager QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Experience with general maintenance/electrical duties preferred.
Ability and willingness to work non-traditional shifts including early mornings, swing shift, nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
Be mechanically inclined, from a hands-on standpoint.
Have general knowledge of conveyors systems, and ability to troubleshoot.
Have good computer skills for utilizing Preventative Maintenance software system.
Have worked maintenance within a manufacturing/distribution environment.
Able to be certified to troubleshoot forklift and be able to be certified to operate and train others.
