Responsible for safe operation of equipmentUsing safe lifting techniques, efficiently sorting, handling, loading and unloading freight to/from containersUsing pallet jacks and forklifts in the loading and unloading of freightEnsures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all timesPerforms other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management as business needs dictateAdhere to all safety rules, policies and guidelinesMaintains compliance with all applicable laws/rules/regulations on a federal, state, agency, and municipal levelQualificationsEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or equivalent required1-2 years of Heavy Forklift experienceKnowledge of equipment operation, maintenance, and basic repairExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to maintain a high level of concentration over extended periods of timeMechanical ability and experienceExperience, agility and ability to work in small or congested spacesResilient energy
