Finished Carpenter Foreman

About The Role

We are currently looking for an experienced Finished Carpenter. In this role, the successful candidate will utilize knowledge of finished carpentry skills to direct a team in the completion of projects to the standards of excellence of United Dwelling. The successful candidate will have a great attitude and be driven to succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform finish and trim carpentry work according to plans and specifications
  • Installation of cement board and trim
  • Installation of wood siding (interior and exterior)
  • Build and install guardrails
  • Build and install fences and gates
  • Build and install decking
  • Install laminate flooring
  • Install base and case
  • Hang and adjust closet and shower doors and guides
  • Install and adjust door adjustment unit (interior and exterior)
  • Direct team in tasks under the supervision of the Supervisor
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues with building components and equipment
  • Follow established regulations and advocate for safety on each worksite

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2 – 5 years working as a finished carpenter
  • Proficient with power tools including but not limited to: table saw, miter saw, nail gun, skill saw, drill, driver
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Ability to direct other staff
  • Able to meet tight timelines
  • Having own tools is a plus, but not a necessity
  • Must be a problem solver
