Finish Carpenter, Cabinet Maker, Wood Worker Location: Phoenix, AZ Department: Door 48 Pay: DOE Primary Purpose: A1 Garage Door Service, the industry leader in garage door installation and repair, is looking for an experienced finish carpenter for our custom door division known as Door 48.
Door48 has been operating and building custom garage doors since 2006.
We specialize in hand crafted wood garage doors and custom steel-clad garage doors.
Each door is made by hand and customized per the clients specifications.
This position is to enhance the department&039;s ability to produce quality, custom doors and contribute to our growing organization.
To be successful in this role, you would need to have This person must be highly organized, proficient with a variety of wood working tools, and have experience in finish carpentry, cabinet making, or general wood working.
You will be interacting with our customers daily and having patient and respectful behavior is a must as you are representing our Garage Door company.
Responsibilities: (This list may not include all the duties assigned) Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully grasp requirements.
Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed.
Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other material according to measurements.
Inspect work and make repairs on existing jobs.
Has experience with different wood and manufactured fiberboard.
Install structures and fixtures, such as windows and molding.
Lift wood pieces onto machines, either by hand or with hoists.
Operate woodworking machines, including saws and milling and sanding machine.
Ensure that products meet industry standards and project specifications, adjusting, as necessary.
Select and adjust the proper cutting, milling, boring, and sanding tools for completing a job.
Use hand tools to trim pieces or assemble products.
Has the ability to work weekends and nights.
Must have experience in cabinetry, framing, and/or woodworking.

Ability to multitask with different, and sometimes conflicting events happening at the same time.
Ability to relay information in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable and Self Motivated Knowledge: Experience in woodworking, cabinetry, finishing is required.
Knowledge of hand tools, mechanical tools, and garage door experience is a plus, but not required.
GED, High School Diploma, or suitable equivalent Training Required: Onsite Training with Manufacturing warehouse Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A Working Conditions: Custom manufacturing environment.
Must be able to stand, bend, climb, reach, kneel, stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift to 75lbs.
Maintain proper manufacturing/warehouse attire.
Work inside and outside with extreme weather conditions.
Be able to drive a company vehicle and possess a valid driver license.
Must pass Drug test, Background check and Motor Vehicle check.
