Directs, supervises, and administers operations of construction projects and ambulatory support services through Health System Construction Planning department.

Oversees the development, design and construction for all tenant improvements, building renovations and major capital construction projects.

Works collaboratively with other Health System departments and the University partners.

Has direct oversight of construction budgets, monitors finalized designs to ensure they are within formal project budgets and schedule.

Oversees the administration, creation and archiving of construction documents and processes associated with construction projects.

Oversees ambulatory healthcare facilities support services including facilities, maintenance and property management.

Develops, implements and administers effective, efficient and safe operation of nonclinical support activities for ambulatory clinics.

Minimum Education:
• Bachelors degree in Construction related field.Minimum Experience/Knowledge:
• Minimum of 7
– 10 years progressive experience leading high dollar, high impact healthcare construction projects.

• Familiarity with all aspects of construction project design and delivery including planning, budget development, budget control, schedule development, schedule control, feasibility, pre-construction, design, regulatory review and compliance, contracting, construction administration and oversight, accounting, equipment/furniture planning, close-out procedures and turn-over.
• Must have strong written, oral communication and presentation skills, including managerial skills and ability to resolve conflicts, identify and resolve problems and develop staff.

• Knowledge of applicable laws, policies, principles
• Must be able to network and understand the latest planning, design and construction trends.

Required License/Certification:
• Valid Fire and Safety Certification.
