Davenport Machine Operators Needed

Kelly Services is immediately hiring for a Davenport Machine Operator for one of our customers in City of Industry, CA. Our customer is a leading company in the aerospace industry looking for an experienced, highly mechanically inclined individual to join their team.Hours:+ 2 nd Shift – Mon-Fri: 1:30pm – 10:00pm+ 3 rd Shift – Mon-Fri: 10:00pm – 5:00amPay:28+/hr Depending on Experience and ShiftResponsibilities:+ Sets up, operates and maintains multiple Multi-Spindle Screw/ Davenport machines (Acme, Davenport Bar / Servo/ Chucker and Euro turn) with little or no assistance. Job layouts, specifications, blueprints, work instructions and work orders are used by machinists on all jobs.+ Machinist will determine tooling & equipment required to maintain time cycles to company production standards, feeds and speeds.+ Utilizes full range of precision measuring and gauging tools to perform inspection before start, during and completion of production run. Inspects parts to ensure conformance, dimension and tolerance levels within specifications and blueprints using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.+ Performs all machine adjustments. Regulates and controls functions such as machine rate, related machine operations, coolant flow and lube oil levels. Knowledge to change out collets, feeders, spindle stops, cams and gears to layout specifications is required.+ Assist operators in machine set ups and interpretation of instructions, blueprints and specifications.+ Checks production requirements on layouts to assure conformance to specifications; factors such as special gear sets/shifts, rotary slotter with keyed outer spindle, special cam per part requirements and other related factors.+ Performs Statistical Process Control (SPC) checks part samples per specification and acts in accordance with output and demonstrates knowledge and use of Shop Floor Systems.Qualifications:+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED)+ A minimum of 3 years experience working on Multi-Spindle Screw/ Davenport machinery and manufacturing procedures; or equivalent combination of education and experience.+ Working experience in fastener manufacturing environment.+ Proficient in blueprints interpretation, key process parameters and SPC data acquisition.+ Ability to make all inspections on machined parts using precision measuring equipment.**Why Kelly** **®** **?**You’re looking to keep your career moving onward and upward, and we’re here to help you do just that.
