is a premier landscape firm serving Southern California. We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent for the operations team servicing Los Angeles counties. This Valencia-based position is perfect for an established professional looking to further develop a substantive career in the landscape industry. nn nn nn nnThe Construction Superintendent will work with the project management team to optimally run the division’s landscape projects. The mission is to bring clients Peace Of Mind through excellence in customer service and maximized productivity. The Construction Superintendent will create safe and profitable operations through efficient crew, equipment, and material coordination. nn nnThe ideal candidate is a self-motivated and organized leader with excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to teamwork. nn nn General Duties: nn nn- Coordinate field staffing for all projects.nn nn- Attend all project start walks and meet with Foremen weekly at each project.nn nn- Verify correct installation and adherence to plans & specifications.nn nn- Oversee proper and efficient use of equipment and tools in the field.nn nn- Provide timely and accurate documentation of extras and collect approved paperwork.nn nn- Complete projects on-time and under budget. Ensure accuracy of costing reports.nn nn- Maintain positive communication with clients, vendors, and LDI personnel.nn nn nn nn Leadership & Management: nn nn nn nn- Embody LDI doctrine, values and mission statement. Lead direct-reports to do the same.nn nn- Uphold company policy, systems and procedures for all field operations.nn nn- Project monthly revenue on a weekly basis based on job progress.nn nn- Train and evaluate Foremen on an ongoing basis. nn nn- Lead bi-weekly divisional Foremen meetings.nn nn- Hire and train new field employees per revenue demands.nn nn- Conduct all interactions in adherence to LDI policies, procedures, standards and practices.nn nn nn nn Safety: nn nn- Oversee ongoing divisional safety and quality control training programs.nn nn- Ensure that all LDI safety policies and OSHA regulations are met.nn nn- Immediately report any employee injuries to Human Resources and/or Safety Officer.nn nn- Ensure that all field employees wear LDI uniform and PPE’s as appropriate.nn nn nn nn Required Qualifications: nn 10+ years experience leading others in landscape construction.
Spanish fluency.
Valid drivers license.
Flexibility of schedule including occasional weekend, holiday, and evening work.
Computer fluency, including basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word.
Expertise in Southern California plant palette and irrigation systems.
