Construction Superintendent (C)

Construction Superintendent for 40-Unit Multifamily Project in West LA
The Construction Superintendent’s responsibility is to supervise the field construction and to complete the Work on schedule, within the budget and to the quality of workmanship specified.
Must have 3+ years experience in building or construction-related field working with general contractors and subcontractors
Must be able to reliably commute to West Los Angeles. Typical hours to be from 7am to 4pm Monday through Friday, with longer hours and Saturdays occasionally required
Must be able to read construction documents and have knowledge of scope of work and processes for each major subcontractor
Must have the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively with strong leadership and decision-making abilities
Requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to read and respond to emails in a clear and timely manner
Duties:
Manage subcontracting trades in ongoing day-to-day activities and implementation of contracted work and coordination with other affected/impacted trades
Ensure quality and safety standards
Inspect job progress on job walks to guide work and coordinate with subcontractors to schedule work
Coordinate, schedule and participate in onsite coordination meetings with subcontracting trades for successful implementation and execution of work in the field, inclusive of taking/distributing of minutes to involved participants in a timely manner
Distribute and implement RFIs and Bulletins to architects/engineers/subcontractors
Manage document control to maintain an updated set of Construction Documents onsite, which shall include indexing of bulletin issuance plans and posting of RFIs
Examine the contract drawings, specifications and addenda for design deficiencies, impractical details and possible code violations, and to bring these to the attention of the General Contractor
Coordinate inspections including walking with Inspectors and providing supporting documentation if requested
Work to optimize team effectiveness and help coordinate the project team
Maintain good relations and communications with all involved in the project including the public
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, occasional Saturdays as needed

Los Angeles, CA 90025: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
