Construction Safety Manager – Employee Owned GC Doing $300m/yr!!

What You Will Be Doing

  • Identifies hazards; devises and implements strategic plans to remedy any problems.
  • Develop and implement safety practices; prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety.
  • Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting job sites, employees and operations.
  • Conduct safety meetings with employees as needed; train employees on safe work practices.
  • Work closely with project management teams and field employees to develop and implement solutions to safety-related issues on project sites.
  • Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions; make corrections and improvements as needed.
  • Collaborate with management team to identify and enforce appropriate disciplinary action with employees and subcontractor who fail to comply with safety

standards.

  • Responds to accidents or incidents; analyze and investigate; develop and coordinate reporting efforts.
  • Maintain safety-related paperwork and documentation; manage OSHA 300 log, etc.
  • Ensure compliance will all regulatory bodies and standards (including OSHA, EPA, etc.).

What You Need for this Position

  • 5 years experience in Construction Safety Management
  • Construction Related Degree
  • CHST and OSHA 500 Certifications
  • OSHA 30 and CPR/FIrst Aid Certification is a HUGE PLUS
  • Knowledge of EPA Standards
