What You Will Be Doing
- Identifies hazards; devises and implements strategic plans to remedy any problems.
- Develop and implement safety practices; prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety.
- Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting job sites, employees and operations.
- Conduct safety meetings with employees as needed; train employees on safe work practices.
- Work closely with project management teams and field employees to develop and implement solutions to safety-related issues on project sites.
- Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions; make corrections and improvements as needed.
- Collaborate with management team to identify and enforce appropriate disciplinary action with employees and subcontractor who fail to comply with safety
standards.
- Responds to accidents or incidents; analyze and investigate; develop and coordinate reporting efforts.
- Maintain safety-related paperwork and documentation; manage OSHA 300 log, etc.
- Ensure compliance will all regulatory bodies and standards (including OSHA, EPA, etc.).
What You Need for this Position
- 5 years experience in Construction Safety Management
- Construction Related Degree
- CHST and OSHA 500 Certifications
- OSHA 30 and CPR/FIrst Aid Certification is a HUGE PLUS
- Knowledge of EPA Standards
