rail and transit practice is growing and has several exciting projects in both the Bay area and Los Angeles area and is looking for experienced professionals with a passion for public transportation.

Our projects include multi-year Construction Management, Program Management and design for light rail, commuter rail and bus facilities and corridors.

**”We believe ever****ything we do is for the enrichment of the human experience.”** ## Responsibilities **LEAD** * Review submittals, product samples, shop drawings, RFI, RFC * Coordinate construction procedures between Owner and other team members * Perform daily site observations and reports * Coordinate observation activities with submittals and Owner standards for compliance * Schedule and conduct interim and final inspections for close-out with owner and owner’s engineer * Development of punch-list and monitor completion status * Inspect mechanical, electrical, plumbing, foundation, roofing and steel and Identify deviations from the Construction Documents * Follow-up on noted deficiencies * Review third-party testing reports and follow-up on noted deficiencies * Maintain construction documents by posting of addenda, clarifications, revisions and similar items to a working set of Construction Documents * Monitor construction progress and notify of any departure from work schedule * Schedule and document pre-construction meeting * Schedule and lead weekly progress meetings * Work with Owner and manage Change Order process * Monitor submittal and RFI process, assure owners engineer is responding appropriately * Review Payment Applications and recommend payments to Owner * Manage Inspectors Previous experience for this role should be as a construction project manager or construction superintendent with past job site experience that enables the candidate to be well-rounded in looking at a variety of construction related project types.

Experience in the construction management of transit projects including grade separation, track construction, rail and maintenance facilities is desired.

The candidate also needs to have enough experience and capability working with computers that they can write daily observation reports and be responsive with email communication to parties involved at all levels of management within LAN as well as at the client.

**General** * Oversee and manage construction phase * Oversee technical direction.

* Monitor that the project is constructed in compliance with contract documents, budget, and schedule.

* Establish project procedures, problem-solving activities, budget reviews and certifications needed.

* Prepare agendas and conduct project related meetings * Review contractor’s construction schedule and monitor progress for adherence * Review contractor claims * Review and approve contractor’s pay applications * Interface with clients and contractors * Interface with project stakeholders * Maintain project tracking logs and documentation * Monitor safety programs onsite * Initiate document revisions, project reviews, and processes change orders.

* Receive and distribute test reports.

* Manage inspectors assigned to project * Prepare lists of items to complete or correct and establish close-out procedures * Perform post-construction services and investigations as needed.

## Qualifications Thorough knowledge of construction practices, techniques, materials and equipment relating to track construction; thorough knowledge of engineering plans, specifications and drawings; ability to read and interpret plans, specifications and blueprints and to compare them with various aspects of construction in progress; ability to detect errors in construction projects; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with contractors, property owners and associates; ability to effect satisfactory compliance with specifications and standards; ability to maintain accurate records.

Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Preference for Primavera experience.

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE** Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or similar field preferred, Registration in California as Civil Engineer or Construction Management registration is a plus.

Minimum 10 years’ experience in Transit Construction field.
