Receptionist / Scheduler in Mental Health Practice

Abundance Therapy Center is a thriving, expanding group private practice providing mental health services in the greater Los Angeles area.

We provide psychotherapy to children, teens, adults, couples, and families.

We are seeking a dynamic, talented, and fun Intake Care Coordinator to join our team.

This is a full-time position (40 hours/week) with the working hours of 9:00am-5:30pm, Monday-Friday.

The Receptionist / Care Coordinator will be responsible for scheduling therapy appointments, handling customer service-related issues, sending out intake forms, putting data into the EHR system, verifying insurance coverage on insurance portals.

The Care Coordinator will assist the Office Manager of the practice in supporting the administrative operations of the practice.

You will wear many hats in this role and must be a fast learner, can multi-task, and adapt to changes quickly.

Must be great talking on the phone with clients, tech-savvy and learn our EHR system quickly.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Manage intake calls (answer phone and email, schedule intake appointments with an appropriate therapist, answer potential client questions)
Check insurance benefits
Take responsibility of intake metrics (tracking incoming calls, scheduled sessions, referral sources)
Communicate with clinicians regarding scheduling
Communicate with management regarding intake metrics and streamlining of intake processes
Keep EHR client files organized and manage intake paperwork collection
Assume responsibility of maintenance of office equipment (printer, paper, filling office cups and treats, etc.)
Qualifications/Experience:
Experience with scheduling and managing calendars
Great customer service attitude
Proficient in Google Suite applications (Google Sheets is a must)
Well organized with great attention to detail and accuracy
Professional, friendly manner and professional appearance
Ability to perform effectively in stressful situations and willing to adapt and initiate appropriate changes
