Job purpose
The Vendor Relations Coordinator is a new part of the market?s Vendor Relations Team. The dual purposes of this position are to act as a sales liaison to our Spanish-speaking vendors, as well as maintaining the vendor database and ensure all vendors have fulfilled the necessary requirements to be eligible to sell in the market. This person will also work with our high school intern on social media and marketing projects.
Treating each vendor with respect and welcoming new vendors into our community are highly integral focuses to our community-based approach to weekly sales. Being inclusive to our Spanish-speaking vendors is a priority, and this position seeks to make the vending process easy for those who primarily speak Spanish.

Time Requirement
One day a week during the week for 4 hours (Between Tuesday and Thursday)
Plus Sundays (required) for 8 hours
Office is closed Fridays and Saturdays.

Duties and responsibilities
During the Week ?
Maintain the Database

  • During the week this person will check all new vendor paperwork and enter information into the ever-growing vendor database using Sale Force?s Patron Manager software.
  • Make sure all vendors Board of Equalization licenses are up-to-date.
  • Support the Vendor Booking Coordinator with any Spanish-only bookings over the phone.
  • Support the Vendor Curator with Social Media and Marketing Projects
  • Use Hoot Suite, WordPress and social media outlets to promote the market through projects, which may include our high school intern.

On Sundays –

  • Book vendors during the event on Sundays with Vendor Manager Assistant and Vendor Booking Coordinator to process and track stand by line booth sales and advance bookings.
  • Field questions from Spanish-speaking vendors and help them understand how to book spaces in the market according to their merchandise.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of two years of college/university is required to apply.
  • Ability to speak Spanish is REQUIRED.
  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, Spanish customer service, handling payments and/or sensitive information is helpful.
  • Must have basic computer skills and experience working with Excel spreadsheets
  • Previous experience with Sales Force, Patron Manager, Hoot Suite, WordPress and Google Drive are not required but will advance your progress quicker in this position.
  • Experience with social media and marketing are a plus.
  • Experience working with high school students is a plus.
  • Must enjoy supporting your local community, supporting local artists and working with the public.
  • Previous attendance of MTP is highly recommended to understand the scale of the event.
  • Must pass LiveScan to be employed by Greenway Arts Alliance.
