Ideal Candidate Possesses

  • Veterinary specific receptionist experience
  • General knowledge of veterinary medicine and small animal hospital flow
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) with positive, friendly demeanor
  • Strong computer and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and work comfortably and cohesively with diverse team members and clientele.
  • Punctuality, dependability and self-motivation

Job Duties

include, but are not limited to answering phones, scheduling and confirming appointments for doctors and technicians, or boarding, greeting clients and patients while checking them in for appointments and boarding, preparing exam rooms for patient visits, filling and labelling prescriptions, communicating with clients and team members, answering basic client questions regarding pet health and preparing them for appointments adequately, organizing medical records for transfers, and processing invoices and collecting payments either in person or over telephone.
