Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each): 20%
– Administrative Support to the Chief Program Engineer in gathering and supplying data needed to make program technical decisions.

Prints, collates, and assembles reports/materials for distribution.

– Provide administrative support to design engineers by tracking and providing status of the progress of engineering designs though the project development cycle.

The Engineering Aide will input technical requirements into the DOORs database and review results with the engineering community.

– Administrative Support to Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in the execution of development of products as well as the build & test of the products through the analysis of IPT data provided by team members and report findings to the Program Lead.

– Schedules meetings and rooms.

Notifies all participants of meetings and other functions in advance.

Takes minutes and record/track action items from meetings.

– Provides clerical support for department/unit as required; which may include maintaining established office calendars and other collaboration tools 10%
– Ad hoc projects as deemed necessary.

Requirements: Required Skills: High School Diploma or equivalent and 5 years of related experienceSolid computer skills and experience using the Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Must have extensive experience with project planning using Microsoft Project and capability to understand schedules and make suggestions to mitigate potential problems.

Must have the ability to work independently and within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Environment.

Must have excellent communication skills to communicate with multi-functional engineering personnel/organizations related to budget & schedule development, manpower plans, and schedule status.

Desired Skills: Experience working with an engineering organization.

Experience in generating and presenting data to peers and management.

Experience with Missile Defense Agency customer desired.

In addition, Individual should have basic understanding of finance and accounting process and Earned Value Management, as they may also be asked to support various finance related activities for the Engineering organization.
