Administrative Assistant – Social Services

The Actors Fund, a nationwide human services organization that helps all professionals in performing arts and entertainment, seeks an Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic team to provide administrative support of the Social Services Department. Working alongside our Social Workers and Administrative team this position will help facilitate efficient service delivery to a diverse and creative community. This is currently a remote position with the expectation of transitioning into a hybrid office schedule.

RESPONSIBILITIES*

The Social Services Administrative Assistant provides a full range of administrative, clerical and office support activities to facilitate efficient delivery of services. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for the management, preparation and data entry of client data including applications, emergency financial assistance request and group/workshop attendance. Additional responsibilities include administrative report writing and file management, collaboration with community partners, social workers, and clients.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS*

*
Associate degree (Bachelor’s Degree preferred) and a minimum, of 2-3 years of data entry and/or database management experience or commensurate work experience.

  • Demonstrable proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), Zoom, Mailchimp, Database Management and excellent computer skills.
  • Attention to detail, precision, and efficiency in data entry, financial assistance and file management required.
  • Administrative/file clerk experience.
  • Ability to handle and maintain sensitive, confidential documents.
  • Ability to work independently to meet expected deadlines.
  • Good problem-solving skills with a willingness to be flexible and practice in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude with the ability to maintain good working relationships with staff, and community contacts.

PREFERRED QUALITIES

Experience in Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) data base helpful

  • An unrevoked driver’s license, valid in California, and access to a vehicle.

This is a full-time hourly position based in The Actors Fund’s Western Region offices in Los Angeles.
