7am – 3:30pm PST

General Summary
With general supervision provides routine administrative support to department.

Essential Functions
Types correspondence and reports from rough drafts, edits grammar, punctuation or spelling as neededScreens telephone calls to decide the appropriate department/person to receive callOpens, reviews and distributes mail throughout the department to ensure mail is received by addresseeMaintains department’s records/files to ensure accurate record keeping, security and confidentiality of filesMaintains calendar(s), schedules meetings and appointments, arranges travel and hotel accommodations as necessary to ensure effective time management Performs confidential administrative functions such as assembling reports or proposals for customers or outside agenciesMaintains and orders department’s office supplies, forms, brochures, and/or advertising/sales materials

Job Specifications
Typically has the following skills or abilities:One to two years of administrative experience with at least one year providing secretarial supportDemonstrated ability to successfully perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentType 30 wpmProficient with Microsoft WordWorking knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPointKnowledge of desktop publishingStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to type, proofread, revise, and edit up to 75% of the timeTesting RequirementsTyping

Working Conditions
The working environment is favorable.
