Welder / Pipe Fitter and Repair Nesco Resource is looking to hire a Welder / Pipe Fitter and Repair in McDonald, PA.
This position is 2 nd shift, with hours of work between 3:00PM and 11:00PM, Monday through Friday.
The starting pay rate for this position will be based on experience.
Duties and Responsibilities Associates will be responsible for the following tasks including but not limited to: Perform electrical work in maintenance related activities and ensures that practices are carried out in accordance with accepted standards and industrial norms Implement the repair of machines or equipment through controlled dismantling, replacing of defective parts, motors, seals, gaskets, etc.
Assist in the specification and ordering of equipment parts Maintains current equipment through the cleaning and lubricating of machine parts such as shafts, pulleys, gears and bearings, replacement or repair of drive pumps, pumps seals and diaphragms, and prevention of corrosion of equipment via surface treatment Assist with the specifications of new equipment, where available Operation of welding machine, plasma cutter, pipe threader, excavator, and skid loaders Identify and correct potential safety and health hazards within the plant and maintenance facilities Identify and assist in developing strategies to reduce environmental risks from existing processes Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
Skills and Qualifications Associated qualified for this position must have the following: Trade School or Associate’s Degree or equivalent in industrial or technical field; or 5 years related experience and/or training Understanding of the National Electric Code (NEC) Minimum 4 years of experience in customer service or similar position Demonstrable communication skills, both verbal and written Excellent interpersonal skills Self-motivated and adaptable Knowledge of Industrial Motor Control including variable speed drives, basic programmable logic circuit (PLC) wiring/installation/troubleshooting, temperature/pressure controllers Demonstrable experience in the Chemical Industry (preferred) Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 platform applications Ability to use DMM and Scope-type test equipment (a plus) Nesco Resource and affiliates (Lehigh G.I.T Inc, and Callos Resource, LLC) is an equal employment opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, age, or veteran status, or any other legally protected characteristics with respect to employment opportunities.
